Privacy and support

What's saved while you play

Creating or joining a room creates an anonymous Firebase account. No email or password is needed. To keep everyone's game in sync, Firebase stores your account ID, player name, avatar, connection details, game settings, challenges, actions, votes and confirmed results. Anyone with the room code can inspect the room's shared data. Your personal stats and full game history are not saved to an online profile.

Data on your device

Your profile, preferences, all-time stats, recent challenges and latest 20 game recaps stay on this device or browser. Recaps include the player names and results from those games. Clearing app or browser data, or reinstalling the app, may erase them.

Improving challenges

Our servers add up results for each challenge version and setting: completions, timeouts, skips, callouts, rejected completions or skips, times caught, group completions and total completion times. These totals include no names, player or device IDs, room codes, individual results or exact times when people played. Reports combine small samples and hide rates based on fewer than 30 games. Your device's profile and game history are not uploaded to improve challenges.

Game counts

Our servers send Google Analytics only four types of game events: games started, games ended, all rounds completed and games won. Wins count leaderboard winners, including ties, but exclude removed players and games that end with fewer than two players. All events use the same reporting ID, shared across all games. We send no player IDs, room codes, device IDs, device locations or browsing history. Analytics tracking and automatic error reporting on players' devices are turned off. These counts don't tell us how many different players play or who comes back.

Service providers

Google Firebase hosts the game, creates anonymous accounts, temporarily stores multiplayer data and runs our server tasks. Google Analytics receives game-event counts from our servers. These providers also process technical information, such as IP addresses, to run and secure their services. Analytics requests come from our servers rather than players' devices.

How long data stays

Rooms can be removed after 24 hours without activity. Daily cleanup may take up to another day. Temporary records used to avoid processing the same results twice expire after seven days and are removed during daily cleanup. After data is erased, a temporary security lock blocks old sign-in details until they expire; this lock is normally removed within 26 hours. Unfinished erasure requests stay saved for another try. Challenge totals and daily game counts may be kept for long-term comparisons. Google Analytics stores individual events for 14 months; combined reports may stay longer.

Erasing your data

Open Privacy and support, choose Erase my data and confirm. You'll need an internet connection if you have an anonymous account. Our servers replace your name and account details in saved rooms, remove you from any game in progress and delete your Firebase account. Your profile, game history, stats and preferences on this device are erased. Combined totals have no separate entry for you to retrieve or remove. Recaps already saved on other players' devices stay there. A new anonymous account is created only when you next create or join a room.
